My Palace and the final film frame
I was asked to lead the concept design for Ego's planet and palace. JD Dickenson is the brilliant artist who cracked the overall styling.

Ego's palace- gardens
Lush gardens with small cottages made for our heroes. These views were so much fun to imagine.
I had the idea to perch the palace upon a cliffside of pools. I added waterfalls all over the place and this was another excuse to place it upon the hill.
Ego's planet establishing shot. We wanted a very saturated palette and exotic rock formations. The sky was intense and clear, with a silver thread running throughout the landscape.
Ego's Palace exterior was all done with Mandelbulb art- Hal Tenny was the amazing artist who inspired much of these amazing creations.
