Sketchbook tour.
One of the first sketches for UA. All of the artwork was done in a sketchbook, then finished in PS with color glazes.
This style of drawing was inspired by my love for classic comic books.
Each location was explored in a loose fashion. These sketches would be built as models.
Rooftop set- cut later- but fun to design. I was trying to inspire the team to the possibilities for what it would look like through a lens.
Photo comp for the interior of the HQ.
Ballpoint pen.
Process for how I created a finished image in PS. No photo bashing here.
I used sketchup in certain cases to block the room's dimensions- I would then do an ink line over the model and finish with simple techniques.
This method of painting does not involved painting- it's more about flat graphic shapes with nuanced lighting.
Sketchup is powerful, but I wanted the hand made feel so I inked ontop and finished in PS as a mood sketch.
The modeled version. The PD liked it but asked for the hand drawn version instead. It always has more life.
Final hand inked and painted image for the living room.
The moon base! I only did one sketch, but had so much fun with it.
